Hi Everyone, My name is Kinder.

Last year I was abandoned and left to fend for myself. I don’t know why, I didn’t do anything wrong, at least I don’t think I did. I am one of the lucky ones. People tell me this a lot as apparently lots and lots of dogs are abandoned like me. Dumped by those who are supposed to love us and care for us. The reason they tell me I am lucky is because I was saved from the streets by the Benafim shelter. Many aren’t saved in time.

I am about 8 years old, a teeny 5 kg’s, I am fully healthy and I am sterilised, chipped and vaccinated. Apparently these are all good things.

For the last few months I have been in foster with other dogs, big and small and I really enjoy being with them. I also am very good with people and cats and going out in the car.

I think the only thing people need to understand is I am shy and nervous for the first couple of times I meet you. I just need to know I can trust you and that you are kind. So for the first couple of days you will need to be very patient with me…. but I promise if you give me space and let me come to you, I will very quickly like you a lot! And then I will roll on my back and ask for lots of cuddles a lot!

I am really happy in foster but there are so many dogs who need help too. I don’t want to be selfish and take up this space for too long. I want to help other dogs be rescued from the streets but for this I need a home of my own so I free up a space in foster.

Can you help me by offering me a home and in return saving another dog from the streets? I hope so!
