Bernardo is a very easy going, big boy. He was at Portimao municipal canil for a long time before coming to Benafim shelter.

Bernardo can be a bit reserved at first but it doesn’t take him long to open up when shown kindness! Bernardo just loves the other big boy that shares his kennel, Pateta.  He would do well in a home with another confident dog or would be absolutely wonderful if adopted with Pateta.

Bernardo has the best, best run when he wiggles his bottom and looks so incredibly happy.  He is very gentle and kind to other dogs, humans, cats and other animals.  He walks well on a lead, will get in and out of the car of his own accord and knows basic commands such as sit and come.

Bernardo would be really well suited to a home with a nice fenced garden when he can explore, relax and enjoy a quieter life at a pace he is comfortable with.

He has been vaccinated, chipped and castrated, ready to go to his forever family
